What are the 20 most common new build snags that we come across during our inspections?

 

Common snags found in new builds are: patchy and uneven ceilings, ceiling lines not straight, front entrance doors and thresholds chipped and scratched, door handles loose and not level, untidy finish in skirting corners,

walls scratched and chipped, recessed down-lighters not flush with ceilings, boxed walls and reveals not square, corner walls not plumb, door frames not square, socket and switches not in alignment or level and often not flush with wall, taps and bathroom fittings loose, windows and balcony doors scratched, wall and floor cupboard doors not in alignment, cupboards scratched and marked, flooring scratched and marked, flooring not flat, flooring not level and creaking, rough and untidy finish along stair stringers, stair carpets loosely fitted to risers, rough and untidy decorative finish in utility and service cupboards, poor mastic finish along worktop and bathroom tiles, untidy grout finish, and untidy mastic finish along window and balcony frames.
